*Introduction to Weddings at Grace Lutheran Church*	Dear Bride and Groom; Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding! We are delighted you are considering getting married at Grace Lutheran Church. We look forward to being a part of your wedding and future life together. This page contains some introductory information about weddings at Grace. We stand ready to assist you in every way possible, before, during and after your wedding. If you have decided to have your wedding at Grace we have a Wedding Policy booklet that will assist you as your plan your big day. We ask that both the bride and groom read the Wedding Policy carefully, and pass information on to photographer, florist and so forth. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the church office at (936) 588-1944, or Beryl Glessing our Wedding Coordinator at (936) 588-0164.

*Setting The Time Of Your Wedding*	Your wedding service will need to be planned in conjunction with the Pastor and wedding coordinator: Beryl Glessing. When setting the date and time of your wedding, please keep in mind that we are unable to do weddings during Holy Week, over Thanksgiving weekend or during Christmas. It is wise to have an alternate date in case your first choice is already reserved. Your reservations will be considered firm after all of the following have been completed: Complete and return the wedding application and policy. Turn in your church check (refundable deposit if no damages occur) payable to "Grace Lutheran Church." Make an appointment with the Pastor and Wedding Coordinator. Our office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The wedding coordinator will put your date in our calendar AFTER this meeting. Make an appointment with Pam Tamburello, our Director of Worship and Music to plan your music. Attend pre-marital counseling.

Marriage	Marriage can be described as a legal agreement, a social event or an emotional bond of love between two people. But most importantly, it is a relationship instituted by God and entered into by two persons of faith. Choosing to be married in the Church indicates that God will be a central focus in your lives together. The wedding service is a worship service which celebrates your commitment to each other and affirms your mutual faith and trust in God.


Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. I Corinthians 13.4-8
