- Musical Ensembles at Grace Lutheran
Church
- Changing Our World With Christ's Love!
The Parish Choir welcomes
singers who enjoy singing a variety of traditional sacred choral music. Anyone
from high school age and up is welcome to participate in this group! This choir
performs music from many musical periods, ranging from the renaissance to
current music for the liturgical church. The Parish Choir rehearses on Wednesday
evenings at 7:15 in the balcony of the sanctuary. Childcare is available.
Celebration Singers is a contemporary musical ensemble that consists
of vocalists and instrumentalists who enjoy performing contemporary liturgical
music during the 10:30 am worship service. Keyboard, Guitar, and Percussion
are part of this group. If you play a musical instrument or like to sing you
are welcome. This group rehearses on Saturday mornings in the Family Life Center.
Laudate! Handbell Choir is the ensemble that features both handbells
and handchimes. This group provides leadership at both the contemporary and
traditional services throughout the year. A basic knowledge of music is helpful,
although previous bell experience is not required. A basic orientation to handbell
ringing is provided for any new member of this ensemble. Laudate! rehearses
on Thursday evenings in the Sanctuary at 7 p.m. Childcare is available.
The Children’s Choir provides opportunities for singing to children in
kindergarten through the sixth grade. The purpose of this ensemble is to give
children a basic understanding of vocal skills as well as an opportunity to help
lead worship in a special way. This group rehearses on Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m.
until 6:15 p.m. Come and join us for fun, friends, and music!
